The Craze Of The Season: Football.

It is an abysmal experience!

Apparently, football is more than just grown men running around in a field of neatly trimmed grass with a ball. It is an abysmal experience. We have gathered a few comments from people around the world about why they watch and love football.

That's What Sport Brings To People – Pratik misha
"I thought it was all over. All the effort of the entire year had gone to waste. I thought the miracle I needed was never gonna happen. And then it did. Aguero put it past the net in extra time to give city a title after 44 years".
Have you ever felt emotions like these? This is what sports offers. The feeling of sheer joy that makes you forget everything else. For that moment you forget all the problems you have. That euphoria. That's what sports bring to people. You need to feel it to believe it.

The Game Is Intense– L Arvind
First off, it isn’t soccer. You’re just insulting the sport by calling it soccer. It’s football, the one which involves actual kicking of the ball. For the Americans who keep renaming everything according to their comfort will have to come to terms with the fact that there is only one football. Of course I love football. The game is intense, it’s gripping and is perfect in every aspect. There is a lot of action both on and off the field especially during the transfer period. Love following the sport overall.

Football Is Life And The Rest Are Mere Details–Utkarsah Agrawal.
There are three types of football fans;
Group 1: You are a die hard football fan, a passionate supporter. You adjust your body clock to watch the late night European matches. You have seen more 3ams than any other guy around you.
The high you get from your favorite football team winning is unparalleled. The low you hit when your team loses is depressing.
You love football because for you, " Football is life, the rest all are mere details."

Group 2: You have people around you who watch football. So you also start watching it. You slowly develop a taste for the game and start following it. You pick out your favorite teams and become religious towards it.

Group 3: You need to blend in, you want to show people you that you are cool. You just watch it for the sake of getting back at people when their team loses.
This set of fans happen to pop up right around the world cup or major European tournaments. No offense to anybody. For all passionate fans nothing can beat the feeling of watching your favorite team win it. You look forward to the next day filled with belief. As I conclude I will say this once again. "Football is life, the rest are mere details".

The Craze Level Was Ultra High– Umet Ale
People still want the game these people used to show on the ground. Retired but their game was worth watching. We used to wake in the midnight with alarm so that we could watch them playing live on TV. The Craze was at the ultra-level. We don’t get anything but watching them play football is something magic that doesn’t happen twice.

It's Who We Are– Abhranil Roy
As Bob Marley once said, "Football is freedom". The passion, the fanboyism, the banter, the memories all combine together to make it one of the greatest games ever. FIFA has over 200 members, which is almost equal to the UN. There are more than 3 billion who actively follow the sport, which makes it bigger than any religion in the world. After all, it's not just a game. It's who we are.

Second Half of a Match I'm Watching– Stephen Ipe
Sometimes people do things they enjoy even though it may not be "productive". Watching football is one such activity. I'd go into more detail but it's time for the second half of a match I'm watching :D

And Get Pissed Off Easily in The Week If They Lost– Anonymous.
Football is life for lot of people in category. When my favourite team wins their game on the weekend, I feel happy/energetic through-out the week. And get pissed off easily in the week, if they lost. So, Football is life for many more than the actual players.

Premier League is the Best Football League in the World- Saksham Verma
1. Loyalty and commitment- People develop a sense of belonging that they represent the club. The supporters want to help their club in every way and watching it increases the TRP rating too! Nevertheless, it's the competition between pers which brings in most excitement!
2. Violence and physicality- One of the major reasons why Premier League is the best football league in the world! The extra competition as well as the fights heat up the situation and people totally love this! One of the most famous violences is Luiz Suárez biting his opponent.
3. Gambling and unpredictability- Though all leagues have particular elite teams which are deemed to always finish within certain positions in the table, this is not always the case! E.g., Leicester City winning the primer league.
4. Elasticity and beauty- Who doesn't know Rooney's bicycle kick or have heard about Messi or Ronaldo! the scorpion kick was also talked about in 2017!
5. Agent nuisance- for football lovers Mino Raiola and Jorge Mendés (who doesn't know them)- and the then Sánchez- Mkhi transfer saga!
6. Unlimited reasons to have shots of adrenaline with injury time stunners!

Well, to all football fans out there, enjoy the remaining matches of this season's Premier League. Hopefully Manchester United does more than draw for today's game.

I DO NOT BELIEVE NIGERIA IS A FAILED COUNTRY- Peace Agada Elaipu

BY STAFF WRITER,  FEBRUARY 24, 2023. This line "Under Pressure Nigeria Under Pressure" from the song Under pressure by the famous Ras Kimono is as symbolic today as it was in 1981. In a matter of weeks since the beginning of 2023, we have seen the Nigerian federal government issue monetary policies intended to 'combat' corruption and to 'create' a base for free, fair and credible elections, riots from unhappy parties, hunger, strife and agitation in the land. Interestingly, we have also witnessed an awakening of the Nigerian people to politics, demanding a no-nonsense, fail proof system of government.  Perhaps this need to be served and treated right from the people didn't just start today where there is as there have been in the history of Nigeria fuel scarcity, abject poverty and double the corruption amongst and against commercial traders and the ordinary people. It could have started years ago when Fela Kuti would chant his song Vagabond In Power  whi

God and Religion: A review

BY ANGEL DESMOND, APRIL 11, 2023. 'Religion na nonsense!!!'.  The first time I heard this was in the early days of my service at Mr. D.J.'s (he is not a DJ) company, and honestly, I was quite taken aback by the statement. I believe at the time I had plenty of reasons for being appalled and alarmed that I can't really put into words, but the more understandable ones were: my walk with Christ had just started to gain serious fervency when I came in contact with him—or rather his audacious statement. In moments when he'd make statements like these, I'd feel like the man was sent by the devil to derail me from the holy path. Sadly, this wouldn't be the first time someone would approach me with ludicrous declarations, so I was being, as the Holy Bible would admonish the saints, wise as a serpent.   Another reason—which I consider the more important—was that his statement was quite frankly at odds with the knowledge of Christianity that I have had. I grew up in a
